Beginning in fifth grade Middle School students will cover Physical Science over a 4-year course of study. For all topics the emphasis will be on inquiry, research, data collection and analysis and presentation of results. Students will use laboratory research and field study to explore topics in depth. The subjects are as follows:

• Year A: The Nature of Science and Technology, Motion, Forces and Energy
• Year B: Chemical Building Blocks, Chemical Interactions
• Year C: Sound and Light, Electricity and Magnetism
• Year D: Cells and Heredity, Human Body and Health
