Homework

Homework provides students with the opportunity for additional academic practice and makes a connection between home and school. You can expect that all homework assignments will have a clear purpose, and will have been properly explained to your child, whether verbally, in writing, or both.

Sample assignments may include:

  • Novel group work
  • Math practice
  • Book reports
  • Completing unfinished work
  • Long-term assignments
  • Family reading time/assignments
  • Collecting materials for class projects
Upper Elementary Students can expect homework almost every night.
Third Year Students can expect a gradual increase in homework assignments as the school year progresses. Second Year Students can expect light homework based in individual needs. First Year Students can expect to do almost all of their schoolwork in class.
